From Chapel Hill/Carrboro: Travel north on Hillsborough Road (old NC 86) through historic downtown Hillsborough. Continue North past Route 70 one mile to Route 57 - turn right. Continue on Route 57 to Schley Road turn left. Grange Hall is near the intersection, small brick building set back off the road on the right side of Schely Road.

Take I-26E towards Charleston to I-526, exit 212B-C towards Savannah/Mt. Pleasant. Keep right at the fork in the ramp and merge onto I-526 W. Go 6.84 miles, turn right onto Savannah Hwy/US-17 S . Go 4.56 miles and turn LEFT onto Main Road at Burger King (last chance for fast food). Go 1.69 miles, over the under construction bridge and turn left at the light at the foot of the bridge onto River Road. Follow River Road (lovely, designated National Scenic Road) approximately 10 miles and you will see a Fire Station on your right about a 1/2 mile before Mullet Hall Road. Turn left on Mullet Hall Road. Signs will be posted at important intersections!

From Chapel Hill: traveling west on 15-501/54 bypass, continue past Carrboro Plaza towards Graham for 7 miles. Piedmont Feed is on the right.
From Hillsborough: take Orange Grove Road south to it’s end, then right on Hwy 54 West. Piedmont Feed is 1/4 mile on the right.
From Mebane: take Mebane Oaks Road to the intersection of Hwy 54 towards Chapel Hill/Carrboro. Piedmont Feed is 3 miles on the left.
Pinehurst Harness Track
NC 5 and Morganton Road, Pinehurst, NC
From the North: US I or US 15-501, exit at Morganton Road in Southern Pines, turn right toward Pinehurst. Follow Morganton Road to the end and turn left onto NC 5. Use second track entrance (will be marked with Polocrosse sign).
From West: Take US 220 (I73/74 Corridor) to NC 211 east toward Pinehurst. Turn right onto NC 5, Harness Track is 1.7 miles on left.
From South: US 1 to Aberdeen, turn left on NC 5 to Harness Track, approximately 5 miles on right.
Poulton Farm
Union Grove Church Road, Chapel Hill, NC
From Durham or points north. Take the Daniel Boone exit South from Hillsborough (Old 86) for 7-8 miles to the stop light at Calvander. (see the BP station on the far right corner and the auto repair, Ragan's on the far left corner. The intersection is where Homestead Road proceeds west as Dairyland Road. Go west (right). Take the first paved right, Union Grove Church Road (across from Laurel Springs). Take the second driveway on the right (see three mailboxes, the first is a green tractor with Saffelle under it.) Proceed past the house on the left, in its back yard is the Poulton's driveway. If you get to the miniature windmill you have gone too far.
From Chapel Hill or points south. Take 54 from I-40 towards town. Take 15-501 and 54 Bypass west. Continue on the Bypass after 15-501 goes south until you reach Carrboro Plaza. Continue through the light at Carrboro Plaza to the light at the top of the hill (Fayetteville Road) Go right. Pass McDougle School and proceed through the next light to the following one at Calvander intersection with Homestead (and Dairyland.) On your right will be Homestead on your left is Dairyland Road, Go left on Dairyland to the first paved right, Union Grove Church Road (across from Laurel Springs). Take the second driveway on the right (see three mailboxes, the first is a green tractor with Saffelle under it.) Proceed past the house on the left, in its back yard is the Poulton's driveway. If you get to the miniature windmill you have gone too far. Rivendell Farm

From Durham I-85 -
Take501N approximately 13 miles. Look for Quail Roost Road on the right (as a slow down point) Continue 501N about ½ mile. Turn right onto Moores Mill Road (across from Quail Roost Farm). As you top the hill (old RR line) turn in the 1st driveway on the right. Park on the right side of the driveway or just past the kennels in the field.
Arthur Minnis Road, Chapel Hill, NC
From Chapel Hill:
1. Take Hwy 54 by-pass (West) towards Greensboro
2. Just past Carrboro Plaza mall, turn right onto Old Fayetteville Rd.
3. Go past McDougal school (on right) and straight ahead at the stop light (N Greensboro St).
4. At next stoplight, turn left onto Dairyland Rd (road is called Homestead Rd to the right)
5. Go about 3-4 miles (estimated), and look for Maple View Ice Cream Store on the right, turn right at the store onto Rocky Ridge Road.
6. Rocky Ridge Road will terminate at a stop sign and T intersection with Arthur Minnis Rd. Turn left onto Arthur Minnis Rd. The road will almost immediately become a gravel road.
7. Go 1.5 miles on the gravel road. The farm is on left with black board fence, horses, sheds, etc. If you reach a paved road again (Dodson's Crossroads), you have gone too far.
8. At the farm entrance, look for a hanging sign with a jumping horse logo and "Rivendell Farm". The box number is 2500.
9. Alternate route (longer but fewer turns): Take Hwy 54 by-pass West, turn right onto Dodson's Crossroads ("Little Bar" is on the corner). Continue north on Dodson's Crossroads to a stop sign (Dairyland Road). Continue straight ahead and turn right at the next intersection onto the gravel section of Arthur Minnis Rd. Farm is approx. 1 mile down on right.
From south of Chapel Hill: 1. Take 15/501 North to Hwy 54 by-pass and follow directions above. From north of Chapel Hill: 2. Take Old Hwy 86 south from Hillsborough. 3. Turn on right on Arthur Minnis Rd. Continue until road becomes gravel (see above).

5. Turn LEFT onto MERRITT MILL RD. (go 0.1 miles)
6. Turn LEFT onto S GREENSBORO ST. (go 0.1 miles)
7. S GREENSBORO ST becomes SMITH LEVEL RD. (go 1.3 miles)
8. Turn RIGHT onto DAMASCUS CHURCH RD. (go 2.6 miles)

From Raleigh: Take I40 W to NC 54 W. Stay on the bypass towards Graham/Burlington and take the Jones Ferry Exit. Turn left and stay on Jones Ferry Road for 6.5 miles. Turn right on Webster Road (there is a sign for Terrell's Creek Farm here) and follow the driveway.
From Chapel Hill: Take Jones Ferry Road out of town. Then turn on Webster Road which is 6.5 miles from the intersection of 54 and Jones Ferry. There is a sign for Terrell's Creek Farm here -- follow the driveway.
From Apex: Take Hwy 64 W. Cross Jordan Lake and then take a right on Mt. Gilead Church Road. At the T intersection, take a left and go about 1 mile on 15-501 and then take a right on Hamlet Chapel Road. Go about 6.5 miles (the road changes its name to Jones Ferry, but you stay on the same road) and Webster Road is on your left (exactly 1/2 mile beyond Frosty's Store). There is a sign for Terrell's Creek Farm here -- follow the driveway.
From Hillsborough: Take old 86 through Calvander (stop light) and then go straight onto Old Fayetteville Road. Cross Hwy 54 and at the next light, turn right onto Jones Ferry. From Chapel Hill, take 86/Martin Luther King Blvd north. Cross I-40. Go 1.5 miles. Turn right on Mt. Sinai Road. Go 1.5 miles and turn left on University Station Road. Address is 4211 University Station Road. Look for the white board fence and sign that says "Whistlestop Farm."
